To me this is critical for a Survival playthrough. Eventually I will be modding this game and using auto saves and quick saves can be a real problem.
Please Beth make the sleeping feature to save go to a clean hard save slot.
Yes this seems like it is going to be an issue. Im currently playing survival beta, and to be honnest rigged with 80+ mods :D, haters gona hate. I really love the features and especially the sleep saving.
The mods i use are esm renamed and edited in FO4Edit to be .esp, they are little misbihaving but to be expected since to load it you need to...... especialy homemaker. I have no crashes no fps drops and it worked fine......
.... Until today.....
I started to experience "infinite loads" on almost everything, like elevaitors, and changing cell.
IF i load older saves it works nice, even with mods, BUT its like 3-4 ingame days which i completed some of the worst quests with survival on and "Better Localized damage" which makes you die when someone looks at you wrong...
So i can cofirm your suspicion/doubts that sleep saving will be contraproductive.
Heres hoping this is just a result of trying beta+mods, which i know is wrong :P
Im going to try to cleen the mods and try to "cleen sleep" :D and use other mods to somehow clean the save. and can report back if wanted.
I do think that the Beta + Mods = Big Gamble. :) So I hope that is all that it is.
80+ Mods Oh my. LOL the most I ever got to was about 50 :) but I do remove some on a regular basis if I find they do not add what I expected. If I do not use them in routine gameplay then I usually remove them after a trial.
Good luck in the Commonwealth.
EDIT: Just checked, its 108 esps
108 LOL Maybe the Wasteland Workshop will make some of them obsolete.
