Can you Enter/Exit Institute without Fast travel?
I am doing a no fast travel run, but as far as i can tell, it is impossible to leave the institute without fast travel. I've stepped in the teleporter, but it doesnt work. Is fast travel necessary?

Kill Father after teleporting in, and exit through the emergency exit
Works great if you make the teleporter with the minutemen.

Yes you can.
When you get to your living quarters, phone reception and ask them to call a taxi. They will send a concierge to collect any loot you've picked up, Make sure you tip him though otherwise he may tell the taxi driver to take you to the wrong destination. Don't forget to steal the bathrobes before you leave, and throw your TV out the window.

Not without the code, and only when you're invading with The Minutemen towards the very end, after getting the code from Sturges

If the drainpipe happens to be blocked, for whatever reason, you can buy a secondhand jetpack from Carla and fly in.

Thanks for the replies, especially Scarecrow. I want to do institute quests, so i think i will just fast travel between CIT and the institute, Since they are sort of the same place. It seems it is a necessary exception.
