Does Poison stack?

Okay so from what I seen, Bleed does stack with itself but I just got a poisoned machine gun. Will the poison damage/timer stack ontop of itself with each shot?

I honestly can't tell from the looks of it since it doesn't tell me how long poison lasts on a victim or if the 3 is really how much damage it does.

AFAIK, only bleed stacks. Poison does 3 per second for ten seconds, so it is more than bleed's 25, but I don't think it stacks. Also, many creatures have poison resistance. Nothing resists bleeding, not even robots.

Aww man. I was hoping it'd be a good alternative to the Spray and Pray gun. (Explosive Machine Gun you can buy) to avoid potential friendly fire, well thanks for the answers.

You know about the Overseer's Guardian, right? 2500 caps or so, and it's yours. Two shot effect on a combat rifle. Buy it in Vault 81.

With the right perks one of the best guns in the game...so far (lvl 51) Ammo is almost unlimited (more than 6.000 now). Sneak-headshot-blammo.

I like to think it's not so much literal bleeding as some kind of Shredder ammo. Tears up the target from the inside.

Nah, you can stab the crap out of one of them with like Pickmans Knife and watch that HP bar drop fast
