What is the cheapest graphics card i can get to run fallout 4?
I used to play it on intel 4400, But if 1.3 tought us anything it's that bethesda doesn't care about intel graphic cards. So what is the cheapest graphics card i can get to run fallout 4 at least 30 to 40 fps?

Depends on what settings you want. For medium/high settings at 1080p with that framerate (better than console quality) get a 750ti. AMD cards are known to have more issues due to gameworks features and drivers. In any other situation an AMD card would be fine, but if you want to avoid hassle (and potentialy needing a larger PSU) go for Nvidia with this game.

For an off the shelf card?

Duh 750ti is still on store shelves....8 months ago you could have bought a GTX 660 for 60 bucks off the shelf new.

Havent looked around I was lazy and bought a 970 off the shelf back then....Its not the best deal anymore and I dont think its come down in price.

For Fallout 4, I'd say Nvidia is your best bet. W3....Nvidia....Metro, Borderlands yup you guessed it Nvidia.

For something like GTA go AMD.
There's some other games good for AMD.

But basically Nvidia in the 900 series is going to be best long term for Fallout 4.

IF you gotta have some head room for modding you go with a 980Ti and have no worries.

They don't "care" because they weren't supported in the first place.
