Finding the Side Quests
I am not sure I'm the only one with this issue but where as in Fallout 3 you came across the various side quests organically from the main quest branch and slowly branch out in the process, for Fallout 4 finding quests have been a painful experience. I am traveling from place to find to see if I can find any quests left. I am beginning to think the game does not even have side quests like the past games.

It has side quests all over the place. You have to explore, check out terminals, read notes, and yak to NPCs to find the majority of them though. The game generally doesn't just drop them in your lap.

There are many
Mostly from factions and your followers but you can get them from reading, listening to holotapes etc google your best bet to see em all. I never had a lack of quests until 200+ hrs

552 hours in for me, still haven't run across the Atom Cats.

I can appreciate that.. means you don't use guides.. im at 310 but i did explore the area they are in and locate them 1st run ;)
I decided at 290 hrs to having run 2 endings (Brotherhood and Railroad) to start again with a different build entirely and do Insitute end.. I found 4 locations I had never seen already as many are not on the maps.. even found a sweet Legendary 44 mag in a little spot not marked.
I got several new quests as well I had never seen the first run.
Def plenty to do and see for those willing to look

If you think you will find all side quests in F3 by just following he main questline, might I suggest you go back and actually explore a little more?

The easiest thing to do is go look on the wiki for the quest list. Then go find those quests you had not done yet.

How have you missed their garage? It sits across the bay from Warwick and The Castle.

I met Duncan from The Atom Cats back in early november when the game just came out, he was in the back of sanctuary and invited me there.

Wow, I have never met him. Only Duke strolling around in his power armor.

Simple, I haven't fully explored that area yet. Bear in mind I'm also running multiple characters that each have their own shtick going on.
