How can I get Nick out of my power armor?

I left Nick in one of my settlements and he immediately jumped into the power armor, but unlike normal settlers, I can't just ask him to get out. It's my favorite set of power armor and he's hogging it.

Talk to him, asking him to get out of power armor is one of the options.

And why does Piper keep asking me to build her a second printing press when I just can't? She's making me feel bad.

That is just a stock line Piper says. It means nothing.

You don't need to make Nick your companion, just talk to him. I mean, enter dialogue with him and select the "talk" option on the top. The bottom option will then be the one you want.

ye you have to ditch your current compnainion an tell nick to join you. then you tell him to get out of power armor.

cores dont weigh anything. I havnt had problems since i started being anal bout alway removing from suits an keeping them out of workshop or storage areas

The top option is not talk when he is not my companion. It is replaced by the "How do you feel about traveling with me" option.

Yes, it is just like asking them to do anything else, like open a door or loot a corpse. Click on them, click on the thing.

Yeah. I thought about it for a sec after I asked, and I figured it out. I should really do the thinking before I ask.

If asking him to leave isn't working, trade with him and take the power core . They always ditch the power armor when there is no core.
