When does .44 ammo start to spawn?

Ever since I got Kellogg's pistol several levels ago I've been yearning to use it. Problem is, I have yet to find a singe compatible bullet since getting the revolver, be it in loot containers or in shops. Are there any locations where the ammo is set to spawn, or will I just have to keep waiting?

44 is really really really rare.Yes, even with Scrounger Level 4.

.44 ammo is available (even at at level one) thanks to two merchants.

Just hit level 18 and stocked up on .44 rounds, thank you everyone.

It starts slowly with Level 16/17 but only a few Bullets.

On the very first day I found a .44 revolver on the northeast shore of the lake surrounding Sanctuary. There's a waterpump there; you follow the pipe and find a skeleton with the .44 and five rounds of ammunition. The whole thing respawns, gun and ammo, every couple of days.

They both sell larger amounts of bullets than city vendors.

With scrounger maxed I normally only get like 14 rounds per container at max.

There's ten rounds and a gun in the raider workbench area inside Hardware Town. But by then you've practically made it to Eleanor.
