Holotapes
I've noticed that the 'Atomic Command', 'Pipfall', and 'Red Menace' holotapes have a value of '300', yet when I go to any of the shops in my settlement, I'm not given the option to sell them. (Not that I want to, I just think it's odd). What's the point of giving them a value above 0 if they can't be sold?

Probably just to make the item seem important.

They're meant to be games for your pipboy, so of course they're not meant to be sold.

So you can easily sort and find them despite the other 1000 misc items in your inventory.

His point is if they aren't meant to be sold then why isn't the value set to 0 making it pointless to even try.

It shouldn't matter what the value is, 0 or not I don't see why they're bothered with it having a value; just because it can't be sold, doesn't mean it's worthless.

I'm not debating whether or not they're "worthless". Just because something has a value of "0" doesn't mean it's worthless. I'm just wondering why the holotape games are given a value of "300" if they can't be sold.

That's a reason that we ourselves have to draw, there's literally nothing behind why they're worth anything at all, so the rest is left to assumption.
