**RESOLVED** Unable to complete "Stop the Raiding at Outpost Zimonja"
Hi,
Was hoping to get some help here. I'm trying to complete one of Preston's "as usual another settlement needs help" titled "Stop The Raiding at Outpost Zimonja"

The quest says to head over to the outpost but when I get there nothing happens and no quest marker anywhere, no settler to approach. I've waited days and days and nothing. Even had a mutant attack there (I thought that was it) but no luck. Quest is active but nothing.
What I've tried and did not work:
-Approached every settler
-type sqt in console to get the quest ID, the command shows nothing as if it doesnt exist. The command works because I took a mission from the railroad and that shows up
-typed completeallobjectives in console
-typed: help "Stop the Raiding" 4 QUST (found this on the fallout 4 wiki)I tried it with other items and it works perfect (lists everything between the quotations) EXCEPT for this one in which nothing comes up

One big problem I have is that I cannot get a Quest ID number for this so I have been unable to use the: completequest <questID>

This stinks because I Can't get anymore quests from Preston until this is completed and I really don't know what to do.

Anyway thanks in advance

No this is that tower looking icon on the map on the north edge of the map, east of Sanctuary
I'm asking because Mercer safehouse is a random spawn. It can appear at multiple settlements and interfere with quests there

Hmm I don't know how would I see that?

The short answer is you wouldn't see it happening until it was too late.
reload from prev saved game b4 u engaged the settlement

Well I thought of that but when I went through my saves to find one before the quest, it was 12 xp levels back. I'm at level 93 and that first save that does not list that as a quest Im at 81. I don't understand how is it that I can't fix this via console. Why does this not show up with a quest ID regardless of what I do
Well I bit the bullet and just replayed it all. Imt turning in a quest to preston, and he sends me to outpost zimonja only this time it's called "Raider Troubles At Outpost Zimonja" (as opposed to "stop the raiding at...etc") And what do you know, the exact same BS happenes. He says "ill mark your map" No mark, no quest mark, show on map leads to whatever spot I happen to be standing in, when I travel there there is nobody to talk to. What a world class stupid bug SMH

********UPDATE & RESOLVED****************

Well some good news this time....this particular new-ish quest does have a quest ID....so I typed completequest <id number> and voila, done. No quest marker, no settler? Console completion by default.

Anyway thanks to everyone here who tried to help, greatly appreciated

*******UPDATE 2...******************
Yknow this game is so insane. Of course AFTER i replayed everything, run into the same issue but fixed it, I decided to launch the save with the original "Stop The Raiding..." For kicks I did some more searching and although I did not find anything specific, I did find a random list Minutemen quest editor ID....the very first one I tried fixed it. All that replay for nothing lol

For anyone that may have this issue, this is the site: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_quests

This quest was a drag for two reasons. For one, no quest ID specific to this one, this quest happens to fall under "Help defend" Number two, unlike other quests the list of quest IDs cannot be used to complete this. Instead, this uses an editorID (totally different number/character format) to control it

So which quest ID did you use? Thanks for the updates I've been searching for over a week and am at level 97 so similar situation.

Ok for the radiant Minutemen quests titled: "Raider Troubles at <settlement name>"
type: completequest 00098136 This is listed in the link I included above under Faction Quests, Minutemen

For the radiant Minutemen quests titled: "Stop the Raiding at <settlement name>"
This one is tricky because it's not listed by name and you don't use and ID, instead you have to use the EditorID. In this case it's on the bottom of the page under Settlement Quests, the title is listed as "Help Defend <settlement name> and you type in one of the edtitorID labled MinRadiantOwned<number> I guessed which one and the second one I tried worked. Type: completequest MinRadiantOwned11

Good luck ;)

Thanks, Brotha! I'll give it a shot.
I have this same issue and nothing works not waiting and not nothing! is there a console command for this? so damn annoying!..
For me it was
"completequest MinRadiantOwned02" or
"completequest 0003df95"

Here is the reference:
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_quests

I found the quest ID via the "sqt" command. I had to fail a quest first, though, as the list was too long for the console windows and the quest in question (pun allowed) was the first in the list.

Hi, this post helped a lot to solve one of the most annoying bugs in the game, thanks a lot.

This weird quest bug didnt let me complete the quest, it was driving me crazy :/, i had this random Minutemen quest that a settler from Red Rocket Truck Stop gave me.

The quest is: Stop Raiding at Red Rocket Truck Stop, so accordind to the quest i had to clean up some raiders in USAF Satellite Station Olivia, the weird thing was even if the quest was active, it didnt show up any quest marker on the map.

So i went to clean the whole place, no matter how many times i tried, i was pretty sure i have killed all the raiders, but the quest just didnt let me because of the invisible or bugged quest marker.

I dont know what is causing this bug :/

But im glad that i found this post, it really helped me to solve this frustrating random quest bug, thanks a lot everyone for sharing info :)

I had the same problem, but with Red Rocket. in the console I typed help minradiantowned02 4. this gave the quest ID as 3df95. I typed completequest 3df95 and that fixed it. it didn't show up in the sqt list at all.
Okay, I know this is a dead, old thread, and that it has been resolved since being opened in 2016, but, I've just come across this quest, and I too believed that it may have been bugged.

If you're just now seeing this thread and are having similar problems, hear me out. You can get these kinds of quests both from Preston Garvey himself, or from hearing it over Radio Freedom (also includes being within The Castle location, hearing it over the public announcement system).

Some locations are weird, and NPCs will wander off, if it shows that there actually is a quest marker, the NPC is probably hidden somewhere really weird - far away from the actual location the quest is supposed to take place in. NPC settler in my case ended up being over a bit of a rocky hill, in some sort of valley nearby. Talked to him and it advanced the quest from there. Still think it's stupid that raiders all the way over on the other side of the map are somehow threatening to this settlement, lol.
