Report a translation problem
This is how I got Preston to wear it, but it took a LONG time to get it back, because there was no option in the Talk dialog to get him to exit it, and doing the above mentioned procedure in reverse left him always wearing the frame.
At one point while in Sanctuary he finally exited it though.
Does that work with settlers? You can tell companions to enter/exit power armor, but can a settler equip a PA frame if you give them one?
You can't pick up PA frames like you can with the pieces.
How can they wear the pieces without the frame? I SO doubt this really works...
With Preston, you can just command him to get into armor when he's a companion, then dismiss him.
I put power armor next to all the artillery emplacements in the Castle. When an attack happens, there's a pretty good chance the crew will get into the armor since they have to go right by it to get to the enemy.
