Randolph Safehouse Won't trigger
I have tried every reasonable way possible to get the Randolph Safehouse quest line to start in my current save file. Which I have had no problems with on past saves, but for whatever reason it will not trigger.

Thing I have tried:
Exiting and reloading the area/game
Resetting Drummer boy
Loading a save from before joining the railroad and replaying the game up until the point where the quest is offered
Using commands to start the quest
getstage
resetquest
sqt
sqo
movetoqt
sqs
sqv
setstage 001845f7 xx
setstage rrr06 xx
(xx's = various stage numbers, none of which work to start a quest, only to advance it once started)

None of the above methods worked, If anyone has something I haven't tried please let me know.

Funny you mention that. I just finished those quests. i was staying away from the railroad because i don't like the way they just boss you around. It just popped up on my screen. so i did the quest. Now I'm thinking about going back and killing them all so they don't bother me again. Only problem with that is i may nedd them for the DLC.

I don't use the console, but I know the commands. It looks like you tried to do it correctly. It could be that it will only trigger randomly. Like it did for me.

I think it works in conjuction with To the Mattresses. It did for me anyway. Try triggering that if you have not done it yet.

Edit: To the Mattresses is what popped up on my screen and when I got there i also got the Randolph safe house.

The exact Trigger is odd but it seems to be completing the quest boston after dark, and accepting side quests from both tinker tom and pam, then leaving and going back into railroad hq, so that way drummer boy only has randolph safehouse to offer you instead of directing you to the other availible sidequests from other npc's. Also Mercer safehouse might also need to be completed with the dia safe cache side quest accepted from pam, not sure on that though.

Either way completing all those for me isn't triggering the quest. When in all previous saves it has.

Still no clue what caused this issue, but I havn't experienced it in a long while. No idea how to fix the problem either as I just ended up abandoning the saves that got bugged a while back.
Sorry to hear that, Ace. I have kind of abandoned it as well. I went straight to finishing The Nuclear Option for the Minutemen and since I was done with all the DLC just started a new game on Survival instead of Very Hard. I gave up on fixing this quest.

I also had a same problem, and I tried solving all the DIA cache and MIA quests and it never worked. So, I’ve decided to wait. I only finished until meeting High Rise quest. I didn’t start mercer safehouse quest, nor setting up MIA. I didn’t start Butcher’s Bill 2 as well. And when I say I didn’t start, I mean I accepted the quest, but never completed them, so that they are an ongoing quest. After that, I went around doing some minutemen quests and BOS quest, and returned to Railroad HQ, hoping for Randolph quest to start. And it did!! Haha. So... to be precise, don’t finish all the side quests of Railroad if you want to start Randolph! I’m just a normal high school student so this might not be the answer, but I’m writing them based on my opinion!! Hope this helps.👌👌

Variable removal : University Point, is the issue when Randolph Safehouse wants to trigger there.
If you are stuck like i was.. and tried every possible trick and suggestions you see online.. just do this.
Reset Variable removal with resetquest rrr07
Make sure you kill the 3 adds that spawn after killing the courser. Clear the building for good measure.
Go talk to Pam to clear the quest.
Then use setstage rrr06 100, it will then automatically give you Randolph Safehouse 1.
Picking the dead drop will lead you to University Point you just cleared.
Look around for a standing non moving synth. He will be highlighted in green and you can’t interact with him.
Blow his head off and the quest will progress asking you to talk to Desdemona.
Then after that, all Randolph Safehouse quests should be given by drummer boy one by one using the get out/save/reload/get back in (trick) after each completion.

I ran into this same problem while doing the Railroad quests, I got to Safehouse 4, all 3 PAM quests and all 10 Weathervanes complete. Then Drummer Boy would not give the next safehouse quest. There is a mattress on the floor in the Railroad HQ. slept for 24 Hours. Then Slept again for 24 Hours. Fast travelled to Sanctuary then fast travelled back to Railroad HQ. This time as i spawned in Drummer Boy ran up to me and gave me Quest Safehouse 5. I then Completed that quest and turned into Depsona. Again using the same method of sleeping on the HQ mattress for 2 days then fast travelling away and back caused Drummer Boy to again give me the Safehouse 6 quest to finish out the line to Meet the Big guy.

I have found that this method has been working on most quests from NPC that have some sort of timer or part of chain quest that does not activate after completing the prior quest.

This is current as of all the latest patches and I have been playing a totally unmodded game to this point. Hope this helps people moving forward.
