ok, so I've just reinstalled FO4 in Steam... how to know what is the version I have atm?
hmm... then what is the point to show that option in the public game UI in Steam to the three millions of customers bought the game?
although, they're hardly listening to anybody for the most part when it comes to it being ready or not, they're actually willing to listen to their player base for once to help fix the various problems going on.
still, I don't see the point to show an option to every user that is not possible to access now, but in the future (hopefully).
yep, that is the point. It sounds like a bad commercial decision to irritate/confuse three millions of customers just to make things easy for a few insiders... oh well...
Anyone can opt for beta testing. There is currently no 1.4 version being tested, so there is no access at this time.
I think you are very confused.
And to check version of a game, basically you check the properties of fallout4.exe and check details, but seeing the cause of this confusion you'll probably only get more confused when you find the next button that might do something but doesn't.
