Oh, wait, we're not talking about the same thing?
I set the radio level to 0.
I can't hear it in the pip boy anymore.
I can still hear it from any stationary radio station in the game world(ya know, the yellow boxes that light up when they're on....)
I need to fix that.
I actually tried turning off the music setting also. It removed the battle music, but left the radio music from the radios. like wtf.
only thing i could think of.
also keks
This post wants to be able to upload content to youtube without getting a copyright strike.
Developers add music to their games and get licenses to do so. Game developers then give permission for people to use their game for youtube and such, and monetize it.
The music license however does not go beyond use in the game.
It's like buying a copy of music. You're buying it for your enjoyment. If you share that copy with anyone else, it's technically illegal.
The only music exempt from this is music made specifically for a game(like the battle music in fallout, or the menu screen music). The same situations happen in every other fallout game, GTA games, etc, etc, etc.
But most of those games have a simple off switch for radios/music.
It shouldn't be getting flagged, they are songs from at least 30 years ago in some cases and I don't think Bethesda actually "own" them currently.
Failing that, turn your sound down, it evades Youtube and Twitch's garbage music copyright software most times
Here's a more precise explanation from a source on a MCN board I'm on.
And even though they are over 30 years old, most of these sound files have had their copyrights renewed, and therefore do not fall under creative commons yet. Royalties are still collected on them.
I need an explanation on how to disable the music from coming out of the radio boxes. I do not need someone to tell me that copyright claims shouldn't happen...
