Is there any way to get the Minutemen ending without using them on "Molecular Level"?
Figures trying to play all sides for the most XP before deciding to pick a final one might backfire.

I went with the brotherhood for the "Molecular Level" quest. I build the teleporter with them and got them the network data.

I was planning to eventually side with the Minutemen for the Ending, but now it seems like I can't do that, since I can't get the "Inside Job" quest.

So is there any way at this point to side with the Minutemen for the ending, or has that ship sailed?

Talk to proctor ingram and get the holotape back.

Would that really help? Sturges hasn't given me the "Inside Job" quest, and "Molecular Level" is already done.

You need to get banished from the Institute, that's what really starts their end-game quests. To get banished you need to either kill a named Institute character, tell Father exactly what you think of him when you talk to him right after The Battle of Bunker Hill or side with the Minutemen in the quest Pinned...you will be at war with the BoS if you wait this long though, so if you're going for the ending where the Minutemen, BoS, and Railroad are still alive and active then telling Father off after Bunker Hill is the best time.

Yeah you can get the holotape back and give it to sturges. The minutemen option is always open.

So even if I haven't done the "Inside Job" quest, I can still go with the Minutemen if I get Banished from the Institute?

Get banished then get the holotape to sturges then you should get the quest Form Ranks

If you want to do Inside Job then you can do it by asking for the holotape from Ingram (assuming you already completed Outside the Wire, sounds like you did) but getting banished from the Institute is what really kicks off the Minutemen's end game storyline. Actually, I think the game will direct you to get the holotape from Ingram after getting banished anyway.

I don't really care about the "Inside Job" quest. I was just under the impression that was needed in order to get the Minutemen ending. If it's not, then I'd be happy to bypass it.

Is the tape or the quest necessary for the Minutemen ending?

You need to give the holotape to sturges it is involved in a later quest

You don't need to complete Inside Job before getting banished to unlock the Minutemen's ending but I think after getting banished the game will direct you to do it by getting the holotape from Ingram and giving it to Sturges.

Can you continue with the minutemen questline after spoils of war and before Ad Victoriam? this would allow me to reach defend the castle, which Ad victorium Completes, and defend the castle fails Tactical thinking which I want to avoid.

Similar question, what about if I sided with the Railroad for Molecular level? Can I switch to the Minutemen since I don't have a holotape?

I have only completed Institutionalized so far. I said maybe to Father and generally was disagreeable with the division heads when I met them. I have gone and met Patriot and reported back to the Railroad about it.

Inside job doesn't lead to anything, it doesn't matter at all. Even if you do it for the minutemen, it will just end the quest and won't start any other and you will still have to work with either of the other 3 factions, unitll you become banished from the institute which will fail all Institute and Railroad main quests, and enable you to talk to Preston who will give you 2 quests that will finish the game.
