Screwed up my FOV, help!
So I did the classic Skyrim FOV adjustment by hitting the tilde key and typing in fov=95. Didn't notice it screwed up my pipboy view til after I already got a fair amount ahead in my quest. Setting fov back to lower increments didn't seem to work either though I've only tried setting it to 75 so far. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Try opening the console and typing refreshini

This should reset everyting to whatever your ini files have.

Use FOV command while Pip-boy is up.

Two good suggestions but neither worked. I even just tried generating a new ini and prefs file and still no dice. The pipboy is still usable but its zoomed in so far its just broken looking and janky. Guess I'll deal with it if I have to.

There's a launcher mod on the Nexus, by bilago I believe, that has many useful settings. POV is one of them. You could always try that. :)
FOV works with double numbers in FO4, so to get 95 for both 1st and 3rd person you need FOV 95 95.
What your seeing is most likely the FOV of the one you didn't change so it looks like it's not working.

I had this exact problem. I used the Fallout .ini editor from Nexus to adjust the FOV and everything worked great. Until I started a new character and my Pip Boy FOV was all messed up.

How I fixed it was I brought up the Pip Boy and used the console command to change the FOV back and then I saved the game and relaunched. Everything went back to normal. From my understanding the FOV of each view, i.e. 1st person, 3rd person and Pip Boy is tied to your character save and not the .ini file. Here's a link to the Steam Discussion I started about this that someone answered.

*edit* it also works the same for FOV on terminals, which explains why some of them were really small in my game so next time I play I'll try changing the FOV of terminals using this method. Anyway, this solution works.

The FOV function takes two parameters. One for the pip boy display and one for the landscape view in action. Then you need to save it.
For example:

Open console

fov 80 110
saveini

Close console

I have mine set to FOV 110 110 in the ini files. That's 110 for both first and third person. What you need to do is open your Pipboy and while it's open, go into the console and type FOV 80, hit enter key, then type refreshini, hit enter key, close console, close pipboy. That will fix it. It's been working for me for more than a month.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
