Defend the Castle after finishing the main questline

So i had this weird event to happen, after like 60 hours on my 2nd playthrough after finishing the main quest and siding with the institute Preston gave me the quest to defend the castle, however it wasnt an synth attack it was a raider attack, if im not wrong that was part of the main quest of the minutemen were u had to defend the castle against a synth attack, i wonder maybe it is a radiant quest now? Any1 else experienced this? Oh and it didnt bug the game or anything it was just like a regular ''another settlement need our help'' type of quest but it was very fun to defend against like 10 waves of raiders

There are also defend the castle events for gunners and super mutants this a random event. The quest "with our powers combined" includes a BOS attack on the castle.

Oh thats really cool, on my first playthrough i have like 200 hours (sided with the brotherhood) and i never had one of those attacks on the castle, just a single ''defend settlement'' attack with a cheap wave of ghouls, maybe this new patch fixed those events cuz i also never had an synth attack in more than 200 hours of gameplay and right after installing the patch i got an attack

The quest "Form Ranks" leads to the synth attack on the castle.

Oh im talking about synth infiltration on regular settlements and not the synth attack on the castle with the waves
