yes I read the whole thing....
Now with Maxson case. He grew up with some knowledge of Danse, as I stated. Who could miss someone selling scrap in Rivot City. Its an aircraft carrier.
But as for Danse, I honestly think his brain is rejecting the implant, thus causing head pain. He has his heart, honor, soul, and would die for the BOS lineage. Like Scribe Haylen said, Danse is a selfless person
If Fallout 4 didnt show Gen 3's actually being built the idea they are actually human couldnt be denied for example. That some that should be human like Zimmer and others do have synth components, but some for sure Synths dont, like Glory and others, further deepens the mystery.
As you're told by Dr. Li when she installs a chip in your Pipboy:
Player: "A courser chip? What's it do?"
Li: "The same thing it does for our Coursers. Creates a link to the Relay that allows them, and now you, to get in and out at will."
The function of the synth component itself is never clearly described, but given that it's visibly identical to a courser chip, it would be reasonable to conclude it also allows regular Gen 3 synths to use the Relay (but probably with more restricted permissions than a courser). Whether or not it has any further functions is unknown, as there's no relevant evidence.
Creatures that evolved as living beings have an inherent priority to survive and reproduce, since if they didn't, they wouldn't be around by now. An artificial intelligence has no such inherent priorities, and simply has whatever priorities were assigned for it by its creator.
Which is a human response. Either way, Strong maybe slow, but all the times I played on the ps4 (736hrs), and now on Steam (1040+hrs) I still choose my big green meat shield. I just use danse for the perk. Lol sad but true
Most synths will try to survive because they're intended to provide continued service, so putting some priority on self-preservation is a natural part of their design. Compare that to an AI-guided missile, which may only care about surviving as a step towards reaching its target.
It's classic "Three Laws of Robotics" stuff. Survival is generally a desirable trait, as long as it doesn't compromise what the robot was designed to do.
with such advanced ai as it is, i would say that even non sentient machines would still have self preservation programmed into them by their creator somewhere down the line.
"i exist therefore i am" saves on resources if nothing else.
and with the birth of sentient ai,
(danse rejecting certain programming and self re-writing his own brain)
it becomes
"i think therefore i am"
at least theyre not turning us into batteries,,, yet.
O.O
