Automatron Hacking Module

Is it just me, or is the hacking module completely useless? I googled it and according to some guy on a gameFAQs forum they're "At least expert level", but my robot isn't even capable of opening an advanced level terminal.

It is purely random generator based. The level of the terminal to hack determines the success threshold. Higher level = Lower change. A master terminal has a low % than an advanced terminal ect ...

If the random generator yields a value that is not between 0 and that threshold, it is counted as a "failed attempt".

Is it useless? Well, it is like gambling. It may work, it may not.

Same story for the lockpick module.

Use a companion instead. Reason: they have skill/perk levels that influences the threshold % in your favor whereas the robot mod does not have it.
