How to get a ride from a vertibird?

Sometimes when my faction send a presence in the commonwealth and the vertibird is right above the ground, I wish jumping in the vertibird would actually allow me to get a ride. Is there a command, or a combination of command to act as I got a ride? Perhaps my character body can remain in place, I toggle godmode on, my camera become the vertibird one, when the vertibird land or hover right above the ground, I get the location coordinates then teleport there using coc or player.setpos x/y/z #, then toggle godmode off.

Also I carry a pair of Acrobat's legs with me so it's no problem RPing as if I dropped mid-air.

I didn't just join the Brotherhood cos they have a cool name!

You can summon a vertibird by throwing a vertibird signal grenade.

You get some of them early on in the BoS main story line and can then purchase them from the BoS quartermaster.

Alternatively, you also get some after the final main story mission, if you either complete it with the Minutemen or the Railroad and can then purchase them from the respective faction's quartermaster.

My character did, how do you get the BoS taxi?

I'm neither looking to get a ride from a vertibird flare nor control the vertibird. I want to get a ride from a vertibird that's on the ground or hovering a few feet above it. If my character can't do it I want my camera to be affixed on the vertibird so I can find a spot to either RP that I dropped high from or that when it got down again I would have got out from; like my character was having an out-of-body experience while invincible, then teleported to a point along the virtual ride.

you can actually . I just did The railway version of '' The Nuclear Option '' last night . When I got back to RR HQ , tinker tom tells me the vertibird is fuelled and ready to take me anywhere in the Common once I send up a vertibird flare to summon it .

Oh you want some kind of free ride in a Vertibird?

Nope. Can't be done.

All that other stuff, can't be done. You're gonna have to find a really talented modder and ask him to do it, if even possible.

I noclip, then in godmode keep sprinting, and unless the vertibird goes straight, with the turns I can catch on. When they're in battle, and slowly moving while the non-lancer miniguns, I can keep up in the cabin and it's fun. It would be a whole lot more fun if I didn't have to worry about moving, just rotating the camera.

Update 1
It would be pretty fun that while its circling the top of trinity tower, to take jet and jump on/into the skyscraper.
