Force Far Harbor children to school?
Using the mods Orphans of the Commonwealth 8.2 [Bunker Hill] and V88Desks V3 [Assignable School Desks], I've created 6 small schools in the vanilla map and I'm not sure I want to create another school there, I think it would be realism-breaking to have a school in Nuka-World, so I think all is left is on The Island, formerly known as Mount Desert Island. Since there's already children in Far Harbor, I'd like to force them to school, is there a way to either
  1. turn Far Harbor into a settlement so I'd make a school in the town or
  2. move them to a The Island settlement
then assign them to the newly-constructed school desk? About #1, perhaps there's a way to make children looking and named like them then hide the real ones (eg turn their AI off and move them between the deck surface and the water) ?

Thank you kindly

They can't be assigned, since there's only a very broken console command that may or may not ever work on children that exist in a non-vanilla settlement. or even a vanilla one. I've managed to get Meg the girl in Bunker Hill, to attend at the desks, but only after saving and loading after having made the area.

Far Harbor isn't a settlement itself, unless you're using a mod that alters the area (which would be significant and likely break everything unless you've already done the whole bunch of missions there). There are four vanilla settlements, one of which is Longfellow's, so the closest one to the Harbor itself.

The game is only capable of spawning extremely few children's appearances, so figuring out what clothing they wear is reasonably close to 'how they'll look'. They cannot act as their 'character' if they're taken out of their triggers or script, so it's not like they would continue to BE bertha and whatever her brother is, he doesn't even have dialog options because he's absolutely terrified of everything the poor thing.

I'm not asking for that, just similar-looking children that I can name as them then hide the originals, which I'd add in my journal https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13462 how to access the originals.

Child settlers are randomly created, I don't believe you can actually mod their appearances unless there's a mod option I've never seen. It's all headcanon you can do what you want, I mean I have a full settlement on Far Harbor made entirely of the rescued synths from RR missions. None of them actually ARE those synths, because the game cannot keep track of them and there are only 3 variations on their appearances anyway.

When you have the children of the commonwealth mod you can adjust how frequently the kids arrive as settlers. I often wind up deleting some of them because they aren't going to be assigned to farm or other jobs and take up too much of the settlement quantity after a while. But their appearances are generated based on whatever mods you're running, so mine sometimes come with slightly different hair styles or whatever than normal. It's been so long that I've been using that mod I can't even really say what a vanilla settler child might even be...

The only settlers I got were from Automatron mission Rogue Robot and
Tips for spawning children at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/1451 I was hoping for a sculptor tool to make them look very closely alike, as in if they'd be sent to the surgeon. Also, any idea about
how to name them?

Orphans of the Commonwealth on the nexus is what I use for my children settlers

You don't need to do anything more than select their percentage chance if you want them to come to the settlements naturally and organically.

I use What's Your Name to name all my settlers, though I use a slightly earlier version than the newest, since they changed a couple things that I don't want to use myself.

You can trade with them just like normal so any clothing is easily changed.

I do not use this and it has a hard requirement of "custom playable children" so it might not be what you actually want either, but it's for altering children faces
