Without knowing your FULL load list and *the actual order it's loading in* (not just an alphabetized list like some people set out) it's kind of hard to tell you where to really look. Make sure that your character appearance mods are all properly installed and updated, or that all their requirements are met first, though.
Do you have any companion mods, or mods that may alter basic items like would be needed to load the set for character creation? Bodyslide and other such things I'm sure would affect it, but I mean also things that change the textures of walls, high rez pack, etc?
Whoops.
There are several reasons that have nothing to do with correct installation that can cause serious issues.
Edit - Far too many people assume that mods will always "just work" and don't realize that it is fairly commonplace for mod problems having to be fixed by the mods needing to be scrubbed from a system before the game gets a complete clean reinstall.
ie, The problem mod can still cause problems even if you uninstall it, if it isn't completely and properly uninstalled.
