What did you do with the Chinese submarine quest?

As I'm playing an American soldier, I honestly don't know whether I should help the communist captain go home unscathed, or simply kill him for bombing my home.

I don't exactly remember if he expressed any regrets or whatever when I first did the quest. I guess I would blame the Chinese government for the bombing and causing tragedies, deaths, and suffering of people, Captain Zao was just doing as he was told as a soldier.

First time I tried to help him but his quests sent SS all over the Commie-Wealth.
Then I asked myself: This is the guy who nuked the commonwealth, resulting in my spouse's death and my son being kidnapped, and the whole world that I know being reduced to depravity and rubble.
There are no laws. What would the hero of Anchorage do?

YMMV. I also shoot that credit card guy and that crazy woman at Regret (sic) Tours Marine. Don't have time for their quests.

Yea we were deadly enemies. Madness driving us into bloodlust until we destroyed mankind.

He wrecked my home and killed millions of my people and we no doubt wrecked his and killed millions of his.

How did that help anything? Now we have nothing at all. Family gone. Friends-gone. Even the pet -gone. Nothing left at all.

What good does it do to just continue killing eachother, is the near-death of Mankind (maybe actual death) not enough of a lesson yet?

He seems to have seen that. He does express some regret. But does that even matter now? The world is DEAD.

So I helped him to return to his shattered home and we left in peace. Finally.

Captain Zao has one last nuke to fire. By helping him get his sub operational, you're trust him to not fire it. Wanna risk it? Sure, he doesn't in the game, But he knows if he still has a weapon and China is as bad as the Commonwealth, they'll have his head.
And for Sole Survivor, the war was just a month ago. You spouse died a month ago (that's what the frozen SS feels) because of that war. Here's the guy who killed them all, a capital war crime even if it is the plan, especially if you play Nate, the veteran from the New York National Guard who fought at Anchorage, and knew of the Chinese bio warfare weapons.
I guess I don't see how Nate would trust him... maybe Nora.

Life is not allways about what you get, there is these place that murders people because a few of them may be Synths. I dont care if the only Doctor in that area is there, or a trader with unique stuff. There is no alternative than stopping them.
