Xbox elite series 2 controller

So I received a series 2 controller and noticed some weird things.

1. When trying to exit power armor in a random local to use a workbench, it wont let me hole the exit button. But at a power armor rack it will let me exit.

2. For some reason the game while running and playing will seemingly randomly turn up my volume by a notch or so, several times going from my preferred 20 to 30 plus.

3. My controller will sometimes just start drifting when i am trying to aim.

Now admittedly I am playing it fresh from the box and haven't fully charged it and realize that perhaps the drift of the aim could be related to the battery dieing BUT the light indicator doesn't say its low battery charge.
I am hoping for some insight, but for now I am headed to bed. TIA Fellows.
