Will killing Coursers and Synths make you an enemy of the institute?

I want to do a bunch of side quests for the railroad, they involve killing synths and coursers. I have not even chosen what faction to side with so I want to keep them all friendly

only if you kill them in the Institute. [RR P.A.M. gives repeat radiant quest kill a courser, do many.]

Sadly they will remain friendly. Even more amusing if you are with the institute, the courser won’t even be hostile.
