mechanist computer bug

I cannot use the passcode on the last computer, my character will not log on to the computer. just gets stuck walking into it....

reloaded the save multiple times and restarted the game. nothing fixes it. anyone else have this problem?

You get 'hung up' trying to seat yourself at the terminal. Happens a lot when there's a chair in front of it.

It's a real problem lately, but I get stuck at about half of the terminals that I try to use.
Make sure you quicksave before you try, and if you get stuck, reload and try from a different angle. Eventually it will work, but not without trouble. For Mechanist. I had to use sneak mode so I was crouching first.

Can't wait to hear about the people that get screwed in survival mode with this. :)

I get hung up a lot myself but it usually clears up in a few seconds, are you wearing power armor when you try?

nope, I was at first. Ive tried it multiple times with and without power armor. Ive tried it from the left and from the right. Walked up to it sneaking, jumped on it. Everytime he gets stuck.

I have a 144hz monitor and I know at one point it was a known issue (with the other issues) running at that high of a refresh rate that things like this would happen. With v-sync on it caps at 74fps which is fine. I am starting to wonder if I should cap it at 60 fps with afterburner or something to see if it fixes it.

I had this same issue and here is what worked for me. Put your monitor in 60 hz mode. Access the computer and begin the bug. With the game still running, but your monitor in 144 hz mode. Boom and presto. Hope it works for you too.
