Unable to power up signal Interceptor.
I have spent many hours trying to get this lot to work. I drew diagrams of two different examples given. The one called for two large power pylons to be used
and the video I watched was much simpler but it worked (in the video).
My layout is as follows:
Medium generator (5) to relay dish requiring 5 power.
Medium generator (5) to Console requiring 3.
2 x large generators (10+10) to beam emitter requiring 20.
Wire connected console to beam emitter and Beam emitter to relay dish.
All generators are switched on and connected to the relevant items.
What more can I do? any help would be most welcome.

Teleporter in the middle
Satellite Dish to the left
Console in front of the Teleporter, with a bit of extra space

Make sure that the relay's parts are all connected to eachother.
Place two Large Generators in the middle, and wire the generators together, then wire them to all the other parts/

Finally, place a medium generator in the center or where you're able to connect it to the relay parts and other generators, and it should power onlnie.

If not, place a small generator and wire it to the other parts.

maybe just hook all the generators together to make the 30 power
then just wire everything up and connect it to just one genny
I think you can do it without any pylons

I did not mention that I did interconnect all the generators.

You say " Make sure that the relay's parts are all connected to each other."
The Relay dish, is it not a single unit with only one "part"?
Something I've just thought of, must the beam emitter be connected to the
base beneath it? All else I believe has been done according to your instructions.

What i normslly do is all power goes to the console thingy, and the other components get theirs from there

I have tried that. I see that many many people have had problems here and many different solutions given. Time for me to store all items in workshop and start again. Some say power each item one at a time, some say connect power
after entire project completed.

It has to be built on the ground for some dumb ass reason. It can not be built on any type of floor.

It has been built on the concrete floor on a house I scrapped at Sanctuary.
If what you say is true then it is truly a dumb ass reason.

I just built this yesterday, also in Sanctuary on one of the foundations there.

This was my second time doing it so it took about five seconds. First, I built two or three big generators. I had the pad set up in the middle with the console and the dish thing off to the side and then just strung the wires from one piece to the next, ending at the pad thing in the middle.

One line - A to B to C to D...totally straightforward. So start with a big generator, connect it to another big generator, connect that one to the console, console to dish, dish to pad thing. Done.

Oops, I lied...

I did generator > dish > generator > console > generator > pad thing (I may have overdone the generators but I wasn't worried about efficiency)

I have tried all that but nothing works. The blue electricity shoots out the top of the beam emitter but nothing else.

Mine took many hours to fix as well. I ended up opening console and deleting everything, recrafting etc and it still didn't work. I restarted my computer and it somehow turned on, I still don't know how. With ya buddy :\

Restarting my PC does not work. The console's lights are all on, the red lights around the dish are on and heavy electrical activity at the emitter. So all parts are receiving power. I'm inclined to follow what you did but will follow to the letter the ten points to follow which I found online where they spent many hours experimenting until reaching success using two power pylons.

I have followed the sequence of the ten instructions but still no joy.
I then followed someone else's instructions. Apparently everything must be done in the right sequence, whatever that is. Still no joy.
My game MUST be bugged.

If you connect everything right (and everything is powered) then the NPC does not talk to you is a different bug.

Also sometimes it takes a minute or two for the game to acknowledge the pieces are conencted. I noticed this in Sanctuary where I was WAY over the original build size limit.
