My Automatron robot wont hack?

I upgraded my automatron robot to have the "Hacking Module" I think its called and when I command him it just says "Inspect Terminal" and when I press E nothing happens

I'm having the same problem. I managed to get Ada to hack the very first computer I came across. But since then, whenever I try to get her to hack one, she doesn't respond to the command.

Is it terminals at desks with chairs? Or ones next to doors? Maybe there's some pathing issue.

I know I had some trouble getting Ada to even just path properly when I gave her specific move commands. Sometimes she'd just stand there for awhile as if the ai for pathing just lagged or something.

I just found out that hacking doesnt work with robots that have the beep voices, not sure about ada though

Even with the mod equipped they mostly cant open anything as they never can open above expert locks/computers. Had figured it would be same as Nick who can do higher skill locks but nope.

I've had Ada hack some master terminals. I've no points in the Hacker perk. However, on some terminals she doesn't acknowledge the command. It does seem to be mostly terminals that have some minor obstruction. Such as desk chairs.

Put a hand on them it seem to have work for me ! At least most of the time ...

Tried using an assaulltron to hack an expert terminal, and it was beyond her skill. Seems like a useless torso mod.

Maybe the assualtron voice doesnt hack as well?

Works ok for me but if they get locked out once, that's it. So much for trying to do without that skill

I find that most of the torso mods I've tried do nothing at all. They all seem pretty useless.

Have to say Ada is annoying the piss out of me. Got the hacking module she hacked like twenty terminals expert or lower then all of a sudden she won't even acknowledge my command to hack anymore. She also gets stuck about anywhere that's not entirely unobstructed and then shell despawn and show up like several minutes later. I'm basically just using her for her massive carry capacity which I modified her to carry even more because I'm a pack rat lol. Have to say I'm about to replace her once her dlc is over with the other robot I made just to see if it's only her. I even removed and made another module and it still won't work of course I may have just put the same one back from on her.

Yep. Same here. Ada will not hack anything, all i get is the go command when hovering over a terminal.

I've never seen a follower sucessfuly hack any terminal in my games.

I've been unsucessful getting Curie to hack anything - even with the mod installed, she refuses to hack.
