Automatron robot companions seem rather pointless...
When my 400 damage revolver carries me through the game. Also, if Muzzlek's video on the DLC has shown me anything, it's that even the most decked-out robros get train-wrecked by your average Rock'm Sock'm robots.

For the people doubting I had a 400 damage revolver. Pays not to be pessimistic, lads!

The Automatron DLC was meant for lower level characters, not high level characters with the best gear in the game. For a level 15 character, a sentry bot companion with two explosive minigun arms and an Assaultron beam head is quite a badass companion.

It does't matter what level you are. Paralysis doesn't have a cap from what I can tell. I've spawned several different variants of deathclaws and he has no problem tearing through all of them. Watching them fall over until they're dead is just too overpowered. I'm currently lvl 50 and I've spawned 3 Albino Deathclaws (lvl 71 each) and my X5-77's lasers sliced through them like a hot knife through butter.

This isn't a "best gear" item. It's not even legendary, sadly.

I don't find mine very useless.
Imagine how quickly you'd clean those up with a good 400 damage revolver or 700 damage Gauss gun... Just saying.
I may end up picking the DLC up because I want to be more OP, but at 10 dollars, I'm doubting it. Adding companions isn't much of a selling point, and I hear that the entirety of the DLC quests can be beaten in a few hours. Also, I don't like the prospect of all the normal enemies being replaced with robots. I can't decapitate robots...

Why not just play the DLC yourself instead of watching youtube videos?

The length of the quest isn't the main focus of the DLC... It's more of an asset DLC like Gun Runner's was. We didn't even get a quest for that. The robot customization is fantastic in my opinion.

Because I have to pay 10 dollars for the DLC.

Doesn't it mess up the overworld? As in, there are lots of robots running around instead of juicy raiders who are ripe for decapitation?

No. There are raiders and a new faction of raiders in addition to rogue robots. It just adds to the experience, it doesn't take anything away.

Should have bought the season pass when it was $30.00 then and you would be getting all of them.

Best mods, Violent legendary status (25% more damage, but more recoil), maxed Gunslinger skill.

What weapon, at what difficulty (not sure if player damage, based on difficulty is reflected in weapon damage)?

Even with full heavy weapons perks (on survival), my best missile launcher is only doing something around 530 damage...

It still seems a little high...
