@Prince Rahl
GMG had fo4 + sp for 75.6 before it even came out... so basically half price of the old price sp so there's really not much to complain about, I can see how it can be a bit awkward for new people trying to get into fo4 though with the price hike, but I think it's justified because bethesda makes some amazing dlc.
ill just repeat what i said yesterday, no its probably not worth 10 dollars. i heard its only 2 hrs long, and i couldnt be bothered to get past the intro quest, because i had better games to play
i would say its definitely worth the original price of 5 dolars, solely because almost all mods in the future will eventually require all DLC to function, like all bethesda games before it
and for 10 bucks you can get like 3 humble bundle packs, that are 8+ games each, and hundreds of hours of enjoyment, if your really that cheap. or you could get 2 AAA quality games
either way, dont get this dlc unless you really really like fallout 4
or you can just buy skyrim for 5 bucks because its the better game
I'd love an expanded encounters DLC which added tons of new random encounters into the game personally since those are what makes it last post game, or new dynamic quests, etc.
As for the price? I got the Pass early from GMG, so I basically paid for Far Harbor and everything else is frosting, ymmv.
Maybe some spoilers - but not really
First of all, I'm a Bethesda bigot; I love their games. So when I say I'm a bit disappointed in "The Mechanist Redux" you may take it as a given that I'm not just trolling. The main attraction of Beth's games are their incredible complexity. I'm not claiming that the Automaton is simple but as mentioned above, it is very short compared to most FO3, Oblivion and Skyrim DLCs and rather formulaic in it's meager plot line. Run here - kill these robots; run there - kill those robots; go to an underground maze and kill more robots - go to the final maze and kill lots of robots.
And then my favorite kvetch.... when ever a game designer runs out of interesting ideas, particularly tactical problems, s/he falls victim to "the cockroach syndrome"... overwhelming numbers of enemies who seem to teleport in behind you, on top of you etc. Fine, if you love arcade shooters, but not the finest thinking in a serious RPG. Basically, the designer seems to have said, "I give up, let's just swarm the muthah".
oh, you can build robots too but other than a plot requirement or two....yawn.
Yes. This DLC is so good my biggest excuse is that I can't name my robot properly.
