Hair rendering issue???

Anyone else having issue with NPC's being bald at a distance? the hair gradually renders as i get closer. this only started since downloading automatron DLC

It's most likely your brand of video card. Most Video Card companies copyright their hair physics technology, and it can have an impact on some PC's. Before you do anything, make sure to undo any changes you've made in your video card control pannel(s) if you have done it anytime in the past. Then uninstall any mods you might have, Download the latest drivers from whatever company's card you have, and verify the game cashes integrity. If none of that fixes it, you probably just messed up your video settings.

Yes, it happens every once in a while after I have been playing the game for an hour or so. I just exit the game and Steam, reload and it fixes the problem. I am running a clean game (no mods; no automatron DLC), I have never made changes to my video card (new computer) and I would say it happens once every 20 or so play throughs; it is annoying when it happens but it happens so rarely I just deal with it.

Fallout 4 does have a few Nvidia related graphics settings, but hairworks is not one of them.

It's probably just a random graphical bug. Fallout 4 has a few of them, most notably the corrupted rainbow textures and permanent recon scope effect. I haven't encountered any of them, but some have.

Just started it up again and issue has dissapeared so hopefully as was mentioned is just a random occurance, thankyou all kindly for input much appreciated :)
