Post your Automatron Creations!
Introducing X5-77, an Institute prototype reject. Given another chance, he's now known as BRAD, my personal Battle Ready Assault Droid. Adorable little fella isn't he?

What is your reason for using assaultron head and not robobrain? Ive seen a lot of people using assaultron and not robobrain but for me robobrain gets much better accuracy

Assaultron has a Death Ray that can kill a Legendary even on the hardest Difficulty in just one Shot. And it has some pretty nasty Head Upgrades which enhances this Ability even more. But yeah, dont try to make it a Range Attacker. I build my Assaultron Hybrid as a pure Brawler with one Meleeweapon on the one hand and the Teslagun on the other. It absolutly wrecks everything.

But yeah, if it should go Range, Robobrain is a must have.

Ok, thanks for telling me, I dont have the robot expert mod so Im going to have to farm for the mod. I think you're also right about melee bots because my high upgraded sentry only took a deathclaw down to half health :/

The Grind is worth it. Made 3 Bots so far. Ada is my Assaultron Brawler, then i have a Sentry Bot Tank with the Ahab Head, 2x Explosive Miniguns and 2x Fatman Launcher, and one custom Mr. Handy Bot for fast Melee Attacks and Mid Range Tesla. If you have the best Parts on it you can go full Rambo in the Game. Just ... dont make the same mistake as i did as i took my Sentry Bot on its first Mission and take it into a Building or Cellar because his Fatman Launchers will melt your Face instant.

I like the new robot creation and modifications in DLC, but not going to have them like companions ( ofc, its my personal opinion), might be just for defending settlement ( although I have Robot home defence mod and it works perfect).

Got so tired to listening Ada footsteps during DLC quests, no will again:)
I made her full assaultron.. you know the noise of the footsteps:p
weapons : minigun, laser. she fought like a tiger. 1-2 bots down on her own while I had the rest and just watched the fight. Good fighter, but the noise... ofc you can turn off in settings, but...

It's not. It was a sentry head mod.

Armorer rank 4. It's a modification for sentry heads.

"Harvester". Chief job: farming.

You can't *move* a bot to a full settlement (unless you use Charisma-boosting stuff to temporarily raise the limit), but you can build one there. And the food value goes up even though this one doesn't exactly have hands. Sooooo... with enough bots, hopefully I can actually get some corn and tato production to balance out my mutfruit and actually produce some adhesives.

I figured that at least one bot should be pretty nasty, even though a weak bot could still farm, since the increased food production might raise the risk of attack. Harvester is a heavily armored assaultron with double shishkebabs.

"Ifrit". Guard dog, in case a raid happens on the Lair. Robobrain, sentry bot otherwise, Gatling laser + sniper laser + 2x cluster bomb launchers. An identical one (save for black paint and name "Black ICE") serves as a provisioner between Warwick and Jamaica Plain, to vex the Gunners.

I might clone this build again for a defender of Finch Farm and/or The Slog, once I can get the resources to do so, as those settlements tend to be under heavy threat from the nearby Gunners, Forged and Super Mutants.

Jezebel received a pair of Gatling lasers and a heavily armored humanoid chassis. I was curious to see whether she'd betray me, but apparently not. Task: supply route between Lair and Greygarden.

Yea, foot steps are annoying, I gave ada the mr handy jet. Flys around super quick. Also gave her dual auto laser gun hands. Lights up enemies like a gatling laser does. :) I also put the m-sat on her so she was my companion the entire dlc. I found you could swap that first special mod with the next one.

I originally gave Jezebel an unarmoured, non weaponed full assaultron chassis in case I had to put her down, but no worries there.
MANFACE! Mar 24, 2016 @ 3:11am
I created a dark blue painted Handy (Mercyless spiked frontplate, gruesome spiked top and factory armor on the back) on Robobrain chains (hydraulic armor) with 2 aggressotron arms (Hydraulic armor), a handy eye (normal one) and 2 miniguns. Basicly a smaller version of the sentry bot without the drawbacks of overheating or getting stuck in small corridors. In close combat aswell as in the distance really good, pretty fast and stable.

P.S: Give codsworth some aggressotron legs, protectron torso, sentry bot arms with protectron hands and a sentry bot head. (all with normal factory armor) Looks totally rediculous! XD
