Weapons in ALL Weapon Mods either crash or are invisible
Whenever I try to spawn in a gun or even a melee weapon, it's either invisible or crashes my game. does anyone have a fix?

Just making sure, but do you have the DLC? Some of the new weapons in the weapon mods are from the DLC's and require them.

I'm still having trouble with this. I've tried the mods suggested *and* the INI fixes, but neither of them worked.

Like I previously said to the guy above, but do you have the DLC? some of the mods now require the DLC's.

Most likely the problem is the textures failed to download if you used an automatic installer. Manually install the mods and check to see if that fixes it, also read each mod to ensure that you meet all requirements for each one.

I know that recently a lot of mods no longer were supported after both the creation kit and the newest DLC came out because Bethesda messed with the internal files and it screwed over some textures and sound files so the weapons/armour in question may have been broken by that.

Aye, I have all the DLC's, FO4Edit says there's no missing masters, and my Data pane in MO2 shows that the mods are properly installed with both ESP's and BSA files in there.

Okay so i'm having a problem with the guns being invisible. I have downloaded the ALL the necessary mods including the AWKCR resources files, the specific files from that mod itself for the guns I have downloaded. I have set up the custom .ini file as the website directed me and even checked on Drax's solution for that file itself. I can spawn in the guns, but they are ALL invisible.

sorry, i have been gone for a while. i do have all DLC and manually downloaded the weapon mods and they are still invisible

Okay guys, chances are you guys didn't do something right. Be sure to install the compatibility patch for AWKCR for whatever weapon you currently are trying to get via mods.

Secondly, chances are your files are "messed up". So go to: My documents ---> My Games -----> Fallout 4 and open up Fallout4.ini with notepad. next up, compare what you have in your .ini file with what I have:

I remember editing something in here before. Pretty sure I edited where it says [ARCHIVE} and added:

But I can't say for sure.

sorry for being later, but I have found a way to fix the invisible guns mods problem.

You have to go to Documents --> My Games --> Fallout4.ini

Then open Fallout4Prefs with Note Block and in the [ ARCHIVE ] zone, look for sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\.

After finding it, add the next things to it like this: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\

Then go to fallout4prefs and search [ Launcher ] and see if you have: bEnableFileSelection=1
if you haven't, add it before uLastAspectRatio=1

And the textures will work :D

IF YOU ARE USING MOD ORGANIZER 2, I HAVE A SOLUTION:

In addition to adding these lines to the [Archive] section;

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

Or finding the above references and making those changes, do the following:

1. Grab the Link Shell Extension from here and install it.
http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/linkshellextension.html

2. Navigate to C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Fallout 4

3. Change the name of the three ini files to %name% BACKUP and the file extension to .bkp

4. Navigate to your Mod Organizer 2 directory for Fallout 4, then to /Profiles/ and whatever your profile name is.

5. Select the .ini files from in there, and right click, then from the context menu, select "Pick Link Source."

6. Go back to C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Fallout 4, right click, Highlight "Drop As" and then click "Symbolic Link."

The problem was that Fallout 4, for some reason, wasn't reading the .ini files from Mod Organizer 2, rendering all changes made within the program to it's virtual ini files useless. By making a symbolic link, we ensure that the My Games version of Fallout 4's .inis are always mirroring Mod Organizer 2's.

Honestly it's worth using. It doesn't install anything to the /Fallout 4/data/ folder, meaning that if you need to do a clean install, all you do is start the game without going through MO first.
