(Spoiler) The Silver Shroud Reforms The Mechanist

I was wearing the Silver Shroud costume at the final showdown with the Mechanist and got the Shroud voice option to talk Mrs Cruz out of her Mechanist persona. I repeated the ending twice but I never used a different costume. Did anyone get different dialogue options with different costumes?

I also have never tried to kill the Mechanist. Can you and do you still get the repeating 'kill the rogue robot' quests if you do?

If you have listened to the silver shroud radio then you would know what hat the mechanist is one of his enemies and I think that plot of autromotron is revealed in those series of programs

Yes, you can still ask Ada for locating rogues.

Killing or sparing The Mechanist makes 0 difference, if anything killing her makes the Rogue Robot easier to do since you can just talk to ADA once you're done and get it again without having to treck across the Commonwealth. But you do lose out on a vendor (not a paricurarly good one, mainly sells scrap and has 200 caps) so swings and round-a-bouts I suppose.

And she only has unique dialouge options with the Silver Shroud outfit, don't know why any other outfit would have unique dialouge tied to it...
