Can't build new Automatron?
Everytime I try to build a new Automatron I keep getting the popup that says I don't have enough parts. I know I've got plenty of scrap, enough to be on an episode of Hoarders, but it still won't let me contrsuct a bot. Has anybody else gotten this problem and hound a fix for it?

Did you make sure you had the "right " type of materials?

I've got 208 hours into the same character, I'm sure I've got enough

I played the DLC for 2 weeks and never had this problem nor did it come up on the closed forums. I have over 800 hours by the way.

Well then it seems all the beta testing was for naught

You need to have all those components stored in the workbench of the settlement you are building the automatron at (or in your inventory). If you are missing something the message you are seeing shows up.

They're all in the workbench at the settlement, and I tried doing it with all of it in my inventory too. Neither of them worked

I don't know then, When I do it it shows all the materials it is going to breakdown, Works without any problems.

It is showing the tag for search thing, not build.

I'm also having the same problem, plenty of materials, but the interface says I don't have enough and gives me the option to tag the missing items for search - which does nothing, as there are no missing items. A quick Google of the problem also lead me to this article, where at least a dozen people are also reporting the same issue in the comments: http://www.gosunoob.com/fallout-4/errors-problems-in-automatron/

Okay, so I seem to have sorted this out. I went through the list of ingredients and checked, and it turned out I was actually one ceramic short - but the list showed all items in green. The bug seems to be that it shows that you have all the components even if some are missing. Double check and make sure that you have 100% of the components. The full list of what you need is:

6 Rubber
6 Circuitry
9 Ceramic
11 Aluminium
8 Adhesive

I know right, I have over 800 hours in game and I still need to get materials.

I tested this and it turned out i was a few materials short what i would reccomend is take Ada and go into one building and throw everything that isnt nailed down into her inventory. Thank you Sensei Weasel.

It's usually the Rubber you are missing. When walking around how many rubber balls did you pick up and keep, probably not many. You are usually picking up the things you needed to mod your armor, weapons, Power Armor, etc and that usually didn't include rubber so you never marked it as a needed item.
