Crash at title and when leaving mechanist lair

after installing the automatron dlc the game now randomly crashes at title screen. it also crashes when trying to leave the mechanist lair after completeing the dlc's quest. it sits on the loading screen for about a minuet then the game just closes.

If you in Mechanist Lair and crashing when trying to exit:
Open Console and type " coc Sanctuaryext " without the quotes, it will teleport you to Sanctuary.

seems to be related to a modified ini file. apparently the dlc expects certain settings for some reason and if they've been altered then the game crashes. one work around 've heard is to disable all mods, verify game cache integrity then renable all mods.

@mr.hmm thanks, i'll give that a shot. kinda leary about disabling all my mods.

NP, I had the same problem as you guys(Instant Crash after loading screen ends when i try to exit Mechanist Lair) so I just used that console command and it worked.

Fast travel does not present the solution, every time you go even near the Lair from the outside it crashes.

Right now there is not a solid resolution to this problem, just give it time and I'm sure the Folks at Nexus or the Devs at Beth will fix it up for us, whoever finds the solution first.

For now, AVOID THE OUTSIDE ZONE WHERE THE LAIR IS at all costs.

I dont get crash when i go near it or entering it, I only get it when i try to exit.

To be honest... im quite suprised it ran this well with all the mods i have installed, 0 crashes intill that exit. Was pretty good, im sure that this will be fixed soon. Time to look for updates for the mods.

What I mean is when I completed the questline, I can't go into the outside zone where the Lair is without crashing.

I was able to go all the way totally fine with all my mods throughout the whole questline, its until after I complete it it breaks.

Interface mods may cause this (DEF_UI for example). Removing hudmenu.swf file from Data/Interface folder fixed crashes for me.

well ♥♥♥♥, i am using the dialog mod so you can see what you are going to say. have to try uninstalling that and see what happens.

Well if you dont want to unistall Def_UI (Its the HUD that causes problems) you can just type " coc Sanctuaryext " to teleport yourself to sanctuary and resume as normal.
