dlc naming robots
whenever i name a robot the name would just basically change to Automatron. i have tried many times to change a robot companion's name but all of them would just be Automatron. its just Automatron, no numbers or nothing. I have like 15 of them right now how do you change their names without this happening? the only robot that has a name right now is ADA

Press "T" while they are on the workshop platform, Type the name and hit enter.

i know there was an option there, i named by robots (Zeus, Sparks, Bolt, Voltus, PROTOTYPE) all of them renamed to Automatron when I hit enter

Hmm not sure, I named mine bLaCk and it took it.
the only time when it seemed to work was when I havent talk to it yet, after i made them my companion they all renamed to automatron. trying to rename them after making them your companion instantly makes their name automatron even tho u hit enter

Me too. This happens after when I killed Kellogg.

Yeah my wicked looking sentry/automatron that I made, I named him MERCY, then made him my companion and the name went back to default Automatron, and now it's stuck like that. Also how the hell have you guys not killed kellog yet? That's like one of the first couple missions.

Ok. I fixed this problem. I started a new game, kill Kellogg BEFORE level 15 (before you get DLC quest and radio). Maybe new DLC has problem with Kellogg quest.

yup, just killed Kellogg a few minutes ago on the xbox, went to work on bots and noticed the glitch

I name mine first then build and tinker all mine seem ok.

Shouldn't have anything to do with Kellogg. I know he's good...but he's not that good. It probably is because of that one tree you scrapped in Sanctuary ;)

ya the name thing does not work on mine either. I also think I am just going to make a armored pack machine as they are to strong...hard to get Exp they kill everything in sight. Made a flame shooter and lazer gattling gun and it can take down everyting easy. ..I think little tiny lazer guns are all they need

This happened to me a while ago, I can't remember what I did to fix it though. I think I just killed the sob and made a new one who would actually let me name it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Or maybe scrap and rebuilt the robot workbench?
