"You lack the requirements to build an Automatron."
Whenever I try and create a robot, or edit anything involving Ada, it says I don't have the materials even though I definitely do. Is there a way to fix?

Ok here's how I fixed the problem. Remove the Robot station from county crossing by pressing tab and go to sanctuary and place It there. Done no more "You lack the requirements to build an Automatron".

That isn't the solution, you just didn't have enough materials to build a new robot, which is what that pop-up is telling you. You evidently had enough stored in sanctuary though.

lawl. People asserting that "I have the mats!!" then move to a settlement with the proper mats, still they don't realize the problem was on their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ end and wasn't a bug. How stupid can people be?!

I don't think it's a bug. Only bug is it not showing which resource you don't have enough of. It did the same for me and so I acquired more aluminum...boom problem solved.

The op clearly stated that he had mats and I'm telling you I had enough mats on me and it still wouldn't work your the one who's stupid and can't read.

I've done some more testing and it seems the new robotics workshop cannot detect materials that were part of a shipment. If you have a whole shipment, e.g. Shipment of Aluminum 50 the entire shipment will be used even if building the robot only requires 11 aluminum. Where as if you tried to upgrade your power armor using a shipment it would only use part of the shipment, the rest of the materials would be hidden in your workshop stash, but would still be shown when trying to upgrade your gear.

It is in fact a bug and I assume this is why most people are having problems with building a robot.

However, there seems to be another bug that I have not yet been able to test. Putting the subject of shipments aside, if you go to upgrade your weapon at a weapons workbench, the number of materials you have will sometimes be different than the number of materials it shows in the robotics workshop. Sometimes only by 1 or 2, but still a different number. No idea what causes this but it doesn't seem to be an issue if you have lots of extra materials (not from partial shipments) in your workshop stash.

I had the same bug. I scrapped the workbench and made another in a different spot /same settlement/, fixed the issue for me.

I had the same issue as well. I found that the robotics workstation wasn't counting my junk (ie: aluminum cans, coffee cups) as materials (ie: aluminum, ceramic). So I had to pull all of my junk out, drop it all on the floor and scrap it w/ the workbench for the materials. After I had done this I was finally able to craft.

Some of the item lists are quite large (like I would expect from building complex parts).

They can be _so_ large that you might have to scroll down to see all of them (make sure to place the mouse cursor over the list itself). My guess is that some of the materials on the bottom of the list are lacking.

No, I even went console commands on it, with 5k of all materials (non shipments) and it still told I didn't have enough mats. It was even showing that I had 5k of each mat and still told me that I didn't have enough mats.

But scraping the workstation and rebuilding fixed it.
