Eyebot wandering through the glowing sea

So I was wandering through the glowing sea while out of the sudden an eyebot flies by, no signal what so ever. I tried to follow it only to see it flies in loops.

If the trailer is anything to go by, A robot will just come to you and ask you to assist it.

I feel like the eyebots will have a use at some point. I don't think you can interact with them in the traditional sense and parts do feel missing.

There are a couple of eyebots around. There's even one in DC in my game. But yeah I saw the eyebot of the sea just last night again.

And I've seen the polymer labs one too.

I thought eyebots were the enclaves eyes and ears out in the wasteland, now the BoS's? I distroy everyone I find or hack and incite. They are great sniper practice from distance. Isn't that how they know where to come attack you?
