Found Hancock dead -_-

lol I thought compaions were supposed to be "unkillable" :/ went to the slog to do a settlement help mission, I had had hancock living there when i wasn't using him, and when i fast travled, there he was dead missing an arm..

Anyone know a console command or something to restore him?

First bad glitch in 84 hours :/

That only happens if you side with a certain faction, he'll O.D on chems and die, after saying "One.. last.. rush..."

Load an older save and toggle his essential flag on.

I haven't even gone to the glowing sea yet, you sure that is why ??? I've only done like 3 brother hood missions, mostly minuteman missions.

Also had max affinity with him :/

It can also happen randomly for some reason, just make sure his essential flag is set to ON and he'll be fine.

just tried player.resurrect using hancocks id number, lol game crashed :// must not be able to fix him, and I unfortionately think autosaves overwrote any other saves with hancock alive, haven't used him in awhile... he may have been dead for a long time

Would you mind telling me what the console commands are to set his essential flag to on? just in case i can find a save with him in it?

Then type:
recycleactor
disable
enable
evp

Don't do player.resurrect..



To set him essential:


help "Hancock" 0
Find the record with "NPC" next to it, It'll be his Base ID.

setEssential 00022615 1

They may be unkillable but they can commit suicide especially if you demoted him to the slog. From Mayor to tato picker man no wonder he killed himself.

Not all at once, type "resurrect" whilst clicked on him and exit out of the console; he "should" be alive"
If he dissapeared, type "moveto player".

Careful with the ressurect command, because if he died and that there are events tied to him being alive/dead, NPCs will consider him dead, even if you resurrected him with console commands. Always happen in Skyrim with NPCs.
