settlement size bar
What does it mean when the size bar for your settlement is yellow?

close to full limit

umm... maybe you can only build the setttlement to be 25% larger? But it seems relative between each location.

Also, couple ways to raise the cap on placed items. Easy way is to drop really good weapons, then store them thru the workshop interface. Other way is thru console commands or mods.

When the settlement's bar is yellow, it means you're getting close to the maximum objects limit for that settlement. When the bar is full, you won't be able to build anything new. However, if you're on a PC, the settlement size limit can be removed through console commands, or mods. This may impact performance, so make sure your PC can handle bigger settlements before altering anything too heavily.

There's a guide that you can read for directions to remove the size limit with console commands. I'll post a direct link in an edit.

Yeah, as in you can't put many more items down until you get the message "Cannot build anymore". (sorry Mike we posted at the same time)

I use a simple but effective mod on Nexus ("Settlements Expanded") to sort that out... now I have a very laggy Sanctuary. lol (not because of the mod tho')
I will probably use it on Jamaica Plain. I used it on Outpost Zimonja as well as I had a building frenzy on that settlement.

If you have been storing wqeapons in the bench, take them out, drop them, re-enter the workbench, and "R" scrap them. Watch the yellow bar return to ZERO.

You don't have to scrap them, you can just store them and do it infinitely.

On PC, just save time and use the console.
