M Sat Robot
after finishing Mechanist I am stuck with the M Sat robot, follows me everywhere. How do I get rid of it. Shooting in with a 20mm gun does no good.

You mean Ada? You just send her to a settlement, or select another companion..

I usually just install all the tech on Ada , then after I build out the the lair as a settlement , I then dismiss Ada as a companion , Then put Ada on defence . Problem solved .

Why did you not just put it on Ada like she asks you to?
there's what I'll be doing for my next go around with Automatron dlc. install the M Sat on a disposable attack robot, then have it self-destruct when it's finished the job. that's one less plague of radiant quests. No annoying 'Rogue Robot' quests = No annoying 'Rogue Robots'.
damn. forgot all about the radar beacon. I'll give it a shot tomorrow. but yeah, just order your nuisance-bot to initiate self-destruct sequence for a sure fire way to get rid of it. just a robot.

The Rogue Robot quests will always be available. If you kill the Mechanist, Ada will still give them to you. And Ada can't be killed. She does have the dialogue option to self destruct, but her programming won't allow it. And you have to report back to her at the end of the questline, where she will give you a Rogue Robot quest if the Mechanist hasn't already. I don't think there is a way to actually avoid getting the quest.
yup, just finished Restoring Order with a dispensable Killbot 2.0 sidekick, sent the Mechanist to that scrap-heap in the sky & had said accomplice self-destruct. reported back to Ada and she mentioned her radar beacon tracking robots, despite it being invisible when Ada is on the robot workbench unlike the M Sat device, so it's a permanent quest item whether I like it or no. oh well, looks like I go back to my usual protocol of leaving Isabel alive & completely ignoring her...

The robot radiant quests are entirely optional. Ada will only give you a rogue robot quest IF you ask her. Once it's complete, if you don't ask, you will never get another one. As for Isabel, simply never visit her again. No reason to really, once the Mechanist storyline is completed..
I've gone through the main Automatron quest a few times, just wanted the best outcome for myself which would be for the optional radiant quests to not even be an option. as in, never show in the dialog whatsoever. I've got mods to make Ada into an eyebot so's I can tolerate her now, and I like to stop in at the Mechanist's Lair on occasion to laugh at Isabel from afar.

I don't mind Ada; I always restore her to Assaultron configuration. I do not however, use the head laser. It takes too long to power up. Automatic lasers instead of claws work much better; she can fire those continuously. I also like that she isn't always judging me like most of the other companions..
