The last try i did was my old screen and I didn't set it back, but of course I tried with my native resolution first.
I will try Bethini ! Thanks for the tip !
You should probably also make sure that Fallout 4 isn't being run with any compatibility settings. Right click on Fallout4.exe, select Properties, and go to the Compatibility tab. It should be pretty much blank.
Finally, my monitor has a 21:9 aspect ratio, and it has some weird settings that are actually pretty cool. I can change the display's aspect ratio via hardware if I want a reverse letterbox effect, like you're getting. It's useful when I want to play older games that force a 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio.
This is kind of a long shot, but you are you using third-party tools, like Mod Organizer 2 or ENB? Mod Organizer 2 uses a virtual filesystem, which makes configuration more complex, so you'd have to follow their instructions. ENB is sometimes configured to force a letterbox format. You'd have to follow their instructions to turn that off.
I'm probably one of the few people who never had any problems with OneDrive, but if you're using that, you might try disabling it. Also, since we're reaching at straws here, you might as well make sure your game isn't installed to "C:\Program Files". Put it in something like "C:\Games" instead. Windows automatically manages files in that directory, and you don't want Windows to manage your game files.
No, i checked on youtube. It does miss a part of the image.
Actually I do have Mod Organizer 2 installed, but I absolutly don't know how it works (The computer I'm using is to a friend who went on a trip and left it for me in the meantime.). What could I do with it to fix my resolution problem ?
C:\Modding\MO2\profiles\Default
you'll find a fallout4prefs.ini contained therin, you should be able adjust to fit from there. don't even need to mess with the vanilla game's ini files, that's why I'm running MO2.
I found the fallout4prefs.ini in the MO2 files and modified it, but nothing changes :(
