We have our own currency. And there's no "American" language. Americans typically speak... English. And it's gonna be a stretch to say caps may still be used because that might just be (speaking lore wise here) just something the survivors of the US made up. Can't enforce the idea of saying "Hey use x instead of y" across the whole world when no one goes to check if people are going to do it in other countries.
Maybe they are. They could just as easily be an America first and America only company given their lore with the universe's US govt.
Considering the BoS was founded by an American soldier, doubt they'll have a real presence in Australia. Sure they got airships now that can go across state lines, but countries?
What?
Why? Every game in the series has been localised to one part of America (excluding DLC) so why go for two parts of two countries?
People falling off of Australia on account of it being on the bottom of the world is very real, I assure you. Please show more respect to the fallen. Falling? Fallouts? No, wait, Fall-offs, exactly like this conversation is doing.
'' Fallout Australia '' . It'd be nice to play '' in my own country '' for once .
It will be more interesting to have a fallout in islands near new guniea , a far cry like fallout game on a tropical island
China
Canada (basically usa since they captures it in the lore)
Union of Soviet Socialist Republics- they considered the location in fallout extreme , player was supposed to go to china through Russia to kill the Chinese Emperor
S.x.
I think this is the correct answer. Half the joke of the fallout series is riffing on 50's Americana.
People make mods for the game all the time, that doesn't mean those mods fit the game or the lore.... Unless "my little pony" is a thing now?

As to it being set anywhere but America?
Now, the only logical "eastern" country that fallout could be set would be Japan, surely? given the timeline after WW2 is the same as reality. I could see Nuka Cola selling there, so using caps as a currency wouldn't be too far of a stretch etc...
But, at the same time, it is a stretch to set the game in Japan, because the entire game is set around 50's/60's America...
Perhaps a DLC expansion to visit an area would be appropriate, but not the whole game being set there IMO.
