Where you saved the mod files on your harddrive you have to know yourself. And you obviously need 7zip.
You won't find the mod on the nexus. Google "fallout 4 companion ivy download" and you will find the site we shall not mention here. You also need an account there to download the mod.
https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/11260-meet-companion-ivy/ Is an external link with easy instructions except, I don't see a download link to a file anywhere on that page and I have looked. The hid it well, or its in some form that I'm not familiar with. Usually they make it easy to find, but I'll be damned if I see it.
You need to login/create an account first. The Green box with "Download..." will be at right side of the page later.
If you ever needed Q&A about that mod, click that "Get Support" button. (after logged-in obviously)
Gee. Say you've never used the companion Ivy mod without actually saying "I've never used the companion Ivy mod."
Sex stuff aside, she's absolutely hands down the best companion mod out there. In fact, I would argue the fact that she is sexual and a sex robot is the worst part of the story.
Also, there is an option to turn off the sex talk. I have no idea how well it works since I'm an adult and it doesn't bother me.
She hands down has the best voice actress, I've ever seen in any Bethesda game, including the professional voice actors.
She actually has a really good quest line, with multiple endings.
Her teleportation plugin is great.
Her hypercombat upgrade is just freakin awesome. Like.... super fun. OP probably, but crazy fun.
She has more dialogue than any other companion out there, including the stock missions. She has comments for the little hidden shelter areas even that lots of people don't even recall exist in the game.
Also, the side character young Debbie has an amazing voice actress as well.
The mod author is pretty pretentious from what I can see on his page and the two times I had to deal with him it was absolutely not productive, but it's still an amazing mod.
I will say however, the Nuka Cola add on, is pure cancer. The final level is amazingly designed, but the fact that your "ending" comes with a HUGE consequence for the bad ending and it's basically decided by two minor dialogue options it just freakin awful.
I'm not exaggerating in the least when I say that when I did the quest and got the bad ending I was depressed about it for a week and put the game down for a week and a half.
Because Ivy is so well done that she feels like she has an actual personality thanks to the amazing voice actress and the meta design of her being a prototype/damaged synth/courser/cyborg accounting for things like navmesh issues and whatnot made me feel actually upset when I got the bad ending based on some innocent dialogue choices I made. I literally felt betrayed by her in the ending because she was so well written up to that point.
You will only see a download link when you are logged in with your account. No login no download link.
*edit* Ah just saw VR.IX already posted that.
I know you didn't ask, but like I said in my post above, I didn't care for the Nuka World addition.
You may disagree with me, and enjoy it, but if I were you, I would take these steps:
The game will tell you when the quest starts (It's called Ivy goes to Nuka World, I think) and it will suggest you save and warn you about the consequences and there are 3/5 bad endings I think it says. You _can_ save here, but it won't hurt anything to wait until you get through the Gauntlet at Nuka World.
What it doesn't tell you, nothing in the stock Nuka World quests matter. Don't spend a lot of time on them until you finish the Ivy quest because if you want to restart the Ivy quest you will lose all that time spent.
Save after the gauntlet and don't delete that save. She will prompt you to 5 locations I think it is... there's an additional one that says its optional. Save again before you go see Stein. (she will tell you, you're going there)
If things don't play out the way you like you can go to an earlier save and redo Ivy's quest without losing a bunch of Nuka World progress. Once Ivy's quest is done you can attack Nuka World after if need be.
Having said that I hope it wouldn't be inappropriate to ask a question about her hyuper-combat quest that is really bugging me... For the life of me I cannot locate the decryption key in Med-Tek building, It appears to be in the locked area accessible only by McCready but I just can't find it. I hate to cheat and use the command console but I'm getting frustrated and kinda desperate. Thanx from a 74 tear old Nooby for your generous help.
It's not in the locked area, but it won't appear before you do a certain other part of the quest, so maybe that's the issue?
That has to be done in order and you have to go to the underground area in Concord first.
I don't like overpowered companions.
I don't like crude potty mouth companions.
But it was alright. Did it once. Not worth doing again. A bit too... weird.
what's the problem with Install? It's just like any other mod. Drag and drop the parts you want into Vortex Mod Manager.

From what I can recall, you want to go all the way to the back of the first floor behind the lobby, take a right, and you'll end up going up the stairs. Straight ahead is a closet area that had an Ivy related item there.. I want to say the ring that is supposed to keep her clean....
From there I believe you go up to the next floor and there is a balcony you cross and what you need was in the next room. You can drop through the floor for a quick way out of there.
But I think I'm going on a year since I played.
