Where can I find Heavy Combat or Heavy Metal armor?

Well, the entire question was where to find the stuff. Not telling him guaranteed locations to find it seems to be against that, now doesn't it? Yes, it takes knowledge of where to find it, but that is what he is asking for. Knowledge of where to find it.

I cannot tell him what I do not know. So if I do not know the locations of static drops then it was pointless to bring the subject up.

A partial set of heavy or sturdy combat armor, minus the right arm and helmet, can be found on Captain Bridget on the highway above Hub City Auto Wreckers, close to Saugus Ironworks.

Do Railroad Missions first. After a few Missions, you will be able to upgrade your Army Uniform at the Workbench. Then go for the Gunners at the GNN Plaza and Quincy.
And play without Mods, some of them will cause a crash.
