Nuka-world Power armor.
So you have to find all 35 star cores and restore power at the Nuka world power plant.
I expected something epic about the power armor.
It's... blue, and not rusty, which is nice, but I have better X-01 Mark 6 power armor already, and this is not even as good.
I feel cheated. At least with the cappy contest you got some decent nukes, but I usually blow myself up with such things

And that's the reason why I got all the star-cores via mods and commands. Ain't nobody got time for crap such as that. Especially when you have other games to play.

Since i use a mod to make cells respawn faster (i play on survival, without such a mod it's just a ghost town), i ended up finding the "same" core multiple times. You can pretty much come back every day and find everything has respawned, or most of it anyway.

If you go out towards the junk yard, you can pick a couple up on the way...

You do get a fair amount of good things from Nuka World. "Top tier" PA on top of that would be a little silly, no?

Those Nukes though.. two shot legendary.. a few mods that affect explosions and radiation from nukes.. Just sit back and watch the fireworks :steammocking:

I forget, isn't this just an X-01 PA with a special paint? Increases AP refresh speed I believe. Can't you just upgrade the pieces to be tier 6 and have a PA with AP refresh? Anything stopping you from upgrading it?

I have two X-01 Mark 6 PA already, with tesla coils on torso and arms, the enhanced carry weight legs, and targeting on the helmet.
Why would I need a third? I mean, I thought from the difficulty in getting this that there would be something different about this PA, but no.
Oh well. Bright side is the quest came with some XP.

Can't you just swap the mod parts off those onto the new one anyway?

I had a two shot fatman in Fallout 76 was kinda hilarious at how far that second shot would stray off target.

It is a Trophy commemorating your trials in Nuka world, NOT a single-press button of kill-all baddies. Obviously.

The X-01 Quantum Power armor is thanks to it's legendary effect of increased AP regen, along with it's stats at peak upgrade, the most powerful "vanilla" armor in the game, that's it. that's the reward for finishing all of the Nuka World dlc.
Personally I also find it underwhelming too, but then I've been spoiled by the worlds most talented modders actually wasting their art on this to keep random people like me entertained. :p

I'm not sure I'd even call it the most powerful vanilla armour, given the ability to put together legendary T-60 pieces into a suit with a different legendary effect on each part:

  • Tesla arms and torso (+5% energy weapon damage per piece) from killing Ivey of the Rust Devils.
  • Visionary's helmet (increased AP refresh) from completing the BOS quest "A Loose End".
  • Vengeance right leg (reflects 10% melee damage) bought from Proctor Teagan after completing BOS storyline.
  • Honour left leg (increased AP refresh) bought from Proctor Teagan after completing BO quest "Blind Betrayal".
  • Exemplar's torso (10% reduced AP costs) complete BOS quest Duty or Dishonor by convincing Clarke to turn himself in.

The X-01 Quantum is obviously still an X-01 so its base statistics are higher, but you've got the alternative of a full suit of legendary effects versus just one legendary effect, and you can add the benefit of whatever paint scheme you prefer (the Quantum paint job looks very nice but doesn't offer any further benefit beyond its legendary effect).

One of the most anti-BoS people in the community and you cannot see the problem with your list.:steamfacepalm:

The torso choice is optional, if that's what's bothering you. You can use either the tesla torso (for a bit more energy damage) or the Exemplar's. This is just a list of the legendary choices available to make a full T-60 suit.

Not sure what your mistaken "anti-BoS" impression has to do with that. I've played all different characters with a wide variety of faction preferences. It's a roleplaying game after all.
