Reset Dialogue with a previously dead NPC?
Killed the Vault-Tec Rep many hours ago, but since then regretted it and i wanted to bring him back.

Used console commands to revive him, and tried some to reset the whole encounter with him, to basically start from the beginning. I've tried many versions of RDF, disable and enable and resetai. None of these worked.

When talking to him, he just says the same recycled lines he says after i didn't offer him a job and was overall edgy towards him.

Is there a way to reset him completely?

No, because that's not how resurrect works. Sadly your actions have permanent consequences.

Nope.

Game runs a script to confirm his death and removes him from everything. (This goes for every NPC)
Once gone, it's not reversible.

Using "resurrect" only really produces a copy of the dead NPC. it will never act or behave like the original, and that can't be changed.

^^ That's all you can do OP

Alright, sad, but makes sense. Thanks for the info!

Don't think you can do anything about it since there's no longer an active questline involved. You could try Recycleactor on him. But I doubt it fixes your issue.

Neither recycling or or resurrecting a dead NPC will restart the scripts that ended when they died.

Tried that command as well, forgot to mention that on the post. Didn't change anything, sadly.

Yea I don't think you can manually start the quests if they're already flagged as finished. Bit hazy on those, I mean you can give it a try but it's not reliable anyways. Messing with quest stages can break the game too.

A dead named NPC is a permanently dead named npc and any and all quests that might have started or involved them will *absolutely not* run no matter what you type in.

There's no 'seance' feature in this game...
