Rad Resistant and Ghoulish perks
Hi all.
There's a perk in the game that's called Red Resistant which as the name suggests makes you take less damage from radiation there's another perk that's called ghoulish that makes radiation slowly heal you.
My questions are these: What happens if you have both of them? Do they work in unison or one negates the other? Am i more resistant or immune to radiation?
Thanks and take care.

yes. You take less rads and get healed by the rads you take. You can still die from radiation tho', and the Children of Atom can SS pretty easily with those gamma guns.

I hate those aholes more than I hate Kellogg... lol.

And the rad storms too, because I swear Bethesda included in the code that one of those storms would occur immediately after you just took RadAway to get rid of your rad damage. At least it sure seems that way to me. lol

I save ALL the fiber optics to build the decontamination arch. Rad away is just for use on expeditions.
Kellogg I can relate to, at least after he's dead.
One of the three mods I want to make is a quest to eliminate the Children at the Crater, the lighthouse, and that place near the lighthouse.

So if i stand next to a radioactive barrel, will i restore my health or just take less damage?

I think I'll just take rad resistant this time around, the concept of having both is conflicting logic. Aka bad math and not sure how it works.

Neither are worth spending a perk point.
There's more than enough RadAway laying around to make even Rad Res worthless. PA negates the need of RadAway, all together. Granted, you may use RadAway once or twice in a particular circumstance but it's not enough to warrant a perk. Then there's Decontamination Arches built in Settlements.

Ghoulish is hands down... THE most useless perk in the game. Avoid both unless they are the last perks you need to get them all for bragging rites.

Not fond of becoming a ghoul in general. But yeah, I guess there's more important perks to get first. I am still to get automatics & heavy weapons up along with melee & the lucky find perks & finish robotics & hacking.

full up ghoul perk, the red radiation bar increases in your missing hp, then the red radiation bar starts decreasing. So, it heals you.
Yes, with just this perk and not the life giver perk, you kind like low level radiation.
