Best mods for "Sandbox style" gameplay

Hi all, i thinking in return to play fallout4 at 2023, i have all dlcs, someone can suggest the best mods to play like a true rpg game? (Mods like sim settlement)

How good is your pc? Sim Settlements 2 is a long game but it requires a good pc. SS2 has it's own settlement building system and quest line. It's an rpg but it's incompatible with many sandbox mods. It is a mod best played slowly and not rushed through. You can also play a similar story not using SS2 but just mods. I would try it with some landscape overhauls if your pc is relatively recent.

Also do you want to play as the baby's parent or an alternative character? I use alternate start and play as a scavver in modded survival mode. I don't go near the institute. I use a lot of mods that alter the landscape and add more enemies and locations.
