most mods tend to leave traces of their activity and will mess up your game even afterwards or straight up corrupt your save.
you are lucky that the save still loads, if you have saves before you installed that weaponsmith mod its easier to revert back than trying to fix what it has changed, if you ain'T that lucky and have no save to fall back to i'm sorry to say; you have to start over again.
Which version of the mod have you installed and in what manner are you trying to install it? Weaponsmith on pc normally requires Armor keywords mod to be installed before it, was that already properly installed to your mod list?

if its not remnants of the mod it is perhaps a perk that messes things up.
Armor keywords and smith are installed and works fine. Mod version is most up to date. No other mods are having issues. WeaponSmith is the only mod I have besides Locational Damage that edits weapon values.
